This site's scope is a quick and dirty description of the load bearing equipment items used during the struggle with communism, and the "calm" decade between the cold war and the war on terror. While the sites scope starts and ends with 1967 to 2001, items are included that were made or used after 1967 from earlier NSNs. Also some items with NSNs issued before 2001 were still made up until 2006 to 2008. You can ocasionally find these items still in use.
